Our History

1993

Virgo was founded in 1993 by Late Shri Ram Prakash Arora, marking the beginning of its journey in the manufacturing of plywood.

1997

Virgo expanded its operations and commenced production of Ply & Boards at its facility in Barwala, Punjab.

2000

A ground-breaking milestone for the company, as Virgo introduced its first laminate production in Derabassi, Punjab. This marked a significant turning point in the global laminates industry, as Virgo emerged as an Indian leader poised to transform the entire landscape.

2005

With growing confidence in the laminates business, Virgo established a second plant in Kala Amb, Himachal Pradesh. This expansion further solidified Virgo's position as a prominent player in the industry

2015

Responding to the escalating demand for Virgo Laminates, the management made a strategic decision to establish a state-of-the-art facility in Bhiwadi, Rajasthan, India. This high-class and high-capacity unit catered to the ever-growing market, reinforcing Virgo's reputation for delivering superior laminates.

2017

The name of Virgo products resonated with dealers, distributors, architects, and interior designers throughout India. Recognizing the soaring international demand, the company expanded its reach by opening international branches. Virgo products garnered attention from across the globe, fuelling the company's growth and recognition on a global scale.

2018

Emphasizing the Group's commitment to customer convenience and seamless service, a new manufacturing plant was established in Hindupur, South India, Andhra Pradesh. This strategic move aimed to make Virgo's products easily accessible while enhancing overall customer experience. Always seeking new horizons and opportunities for growth, the Group embarked on a journey of diversification. With a vision to serve the people with excellence and chart a new path for the organization, Virgo Group ventured into the pharmaceutical business through the acquisition of Higgs Healthcare in Baddi, Himachal Pradesh. This bold step enabled the Group to bring quality healthcare solutions to the market and further expand its offerings.

2019

Expanding its product portfolio, Virgo Group initiated the production of aluminium in the Ahmedabad Township project. With a monthly production capacity of 5000 tons, this endeavour positioned Virgo Aluminium as the third-largest producer of aluminium products in India. This achievement solidified the Group's presence in the aluminium industry and highlighted its dedication to delivering high-quality products at scale.

2021

Continuing the spirit of innovation, Virgo Group introduced specialty products in 1mm thickness, including the Hanger Collection and Verona Collection. These unique offerings demonstrated the Group's ability to cater to evolving customer preferences and provided customers with a diverse range of options to enhance their spaces.
